Things to do in Canton
Food is just the beginning!
There are a ton of killer restaurants here! Downtown Kitchen in old town Canton, GA served me the best steak I have ever had in my life. It had a wine reduction sauce on it that I wanted to drink with a straw, it was so good. And there are lots of little hole-in-the-wall type places that may not have a lot of ambience but they have amazing food!
Canton, GA has several fabulous parks and playgrounds, plenty of shopping with the outlet mall right off I-575 at exit 9, and if you have dreams of living in the country surrounded by horses and cows, there’s plenty of that in Hickory Flat. A very family friendly community, Canton, GA appeals to people looking to settle down in a peaceful, quiet area who still want access to all the city has to offer.
I think the reason I personally love this area so much is that I drive by cows and horses on my way home every day, yet I’m a mile from Publix and other stores and restaurants. I get the benefit of living in a neighborhood with social activities, the scenery of living in the country, and the nightlife of Atlanta not far away. My husband and I went to a concert at the Fox Theater downtown not long ago. Just hunt down your favorite babysitter and head out for a night on the town!
